Business Analyst

Working as part of the Membership Support Team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for providing high quality data analysis; turning large volumes of raw data into management information, and supporting the team’s project management capabilities.

The Business Analyst will be involved in multiple streams of work throughout their lifecycle, from initial research and analysis through to the production and delivery of high-quality reports and presentations. The team exists to increase the satisfaction of members, improve acquisition and retention of members, increase efficiency, and support strategic and operational goals across all aspects of the Membership and Rights Group.

In this role, you will contribute to the organisational development and the management of the Membership and Rights Department by:

  • Interrogating and manipulating large volumes of data
  • Producing detailed and accurate data analysis on member data
  • Producing written reports and presentations for a range of audiences
  • Building a detailed understanding of distribution policy and process
  • Providing support to Membership and Rights group through production of regular reporting, highlighting key information and supporting the resolution of queries and system issues
  • Analysing, scoping and documenting business processes to aid final project delivery, assessing the organisational impact of any proposals
  • Coordinating and managing projects through the lifecycle, ensuring stakeholders are kept up-to-date, managing risks/issues, and adherence to project plans

The successful applicant for this role will be:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a numerical subject
  • Experienced in data modelling and analysis on large and complex datasets
  • An expert in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experienced in presenting complex issues tailored for specific audiences
  • Experience of MS Power BI suite is desirable
