ROLE : Business Analyst

LOCATION: Ipswich, Suffolk

RATE: £350 - £400 per day

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months initially

THE PROJECT:

A financial services business based in Ipswich requires a Business Analyst to work on a new web application development.

The business currently has a robust desktop application that is only accessible to internal users of the business.

They would now like to develop a web application which allows its customers to access the information digitally.

This web application will be a leaner, simpler and cut down version of the desktop application (as the customer doesn’t require access to all the information available on the desktop application).

In this role you will working in a small team which will be purely focussed on this product development. The web application will be developed in house by software developers in Ipswich.

Your role will be to come into the business and define & document the specification of the web application, so there is something down on paper which the team can then work off.

You will be required to understand the current desktop application (i.e. what information is available, what API’s it communicates from etc etc) and design the necessary ingredients and function ability for the web application. You will also need to include the necessary functions for a web application (passwords, usernames etc).

To hit the ground running and take ownership as the business analyst on this project you should demonstrate a strong understanding of web application developments (or change of scope of existing desktop applications for web).

My client is looking to interview and offer this position very quickly, as this project is business critical.
