Business Analyst - Regulatory Change

Business Analyst with exposure to worldwide regulated market places (Finance, Utilities, Gambling, Sports etc.) required to join a newly formed team for a successful software house in Ipswich. My client are a trailblazer within their niche field of Software, delivering solutions throughout Europe and beyond. Their Software is required to comply with many different regulations that can differ from country to country, hence the requirement for a team of Business Analysts focused on ensuring the many software deliveries that leave the company on behalf of their wide portfolio of end clients conform with the regulatory requirements within that given country. In addition the team are well placed to work strategically with the wider business to assist in investigating new market places for further expansion. 

Requirements of the role will vary in line with your experience but elements of your working week will see you carrying out: requirement workshops with representatives from the delivery team, User Stories / cases and wireframe documents. Specific to the regulatory space you will be asked to interpret regulatory requirements and clearly translate these in to business requirements. Gap Analysis, Risks, issues and impacts. As part of the wider delivery focus group you will assist in the creation of business documents and functional specs in line with the company, end client and regulatory requirements of the country in question. Carry out research in to the regulated markets across the world to identify potentially profitable areas for the company to target. As an advocate for regulatory standards within the company you will also be tasked with staying up to date with changes in regulatory requirements affecting in house systems, The wider technology infrastructure and operational practices. You will also work with end clients and the regulatory authorities to ensure Software leaving the organisation is of the standard required.

The regulatory arena will continue to be an area of focus for the company as such you can expect to be challenged and have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the companies further expansion. Shortlisted applicants will display core BA skills in line with BABOK principles in addition to exposure in a regulatory environment (Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Utilities etc.) to include working with Lawyers, regulatory authorities and legal documentation.
