Business Analyst - Market Risk

Business Analyst job working on a Market Risk project within a global investment bank.

Your new role

As Business Analyst your role will sit within Risk and Finance IT, supporting regulatory requirements for a data focused, Market Risk project. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, including change teams and project managers to gather business requirements, and clarify and understand complex data issues and data flows. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that requirements (both functional and non-functional) are understood and that technical solutions fully meet these requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate must be an experienced Business Analyst with a strong investment banking background and a proven track record of supporting Market Risk projects. You must have an extensive knowledge of Market Risk methodologies including VaR, PE, MPE, Standard and Specific Risk, P&L Valuations and Monte-Carlo. You must also have an excellent understanding of Trades, Sensitivities, Positions, Security, Collateral and Netting concepts. Strong data mining skills are also required for this role. Demonstrable stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.
