An opportunity has arisen within the IT SBU for a Business Analyst in the PHI Support Team within Business IT. The role of the IT SBU is to support the NHS Scotland National eHealth Agenda through the effective delivery of IM&T products and specialist services that will enable efficiency improvement across Scotland.
The Business Analyst role requires the postholder to have strong analytical skills in order to interpret complex business needs, detailed requirements, and technical opportunities and limitations, to arrive at a considered solution that both meets the customer’s needs and can be efficiently developed, deployed and supported.
The Business Analyst role includes the presentation of complex or contentious information (e.g. detailed requirements, options appraisals, or project delays) to formal Steering Groups, User Groups and other formal Stakeholder Groups related to current work assignments.
It is therefore crucial that the individual robust influencing and communication skills and a strong customer focused approach. The postholder will be expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as, senior level managers, eHealth leads in NHS Health Boards, senior clinician’s etc.
Although this post will primarily focus on specific remits within the team, it is worth noting that generic posts and the postholder must be willing, adaptable, and agile and a strong ethos around team culture, customer engagement and enhancing the customer experience.
