£11,117.60 per annum hour for 36 hours per week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2DW. This position is based inside one of our main area offices, click HERE to see a 360 degree view of the building and surrounding area along with a view of the reception. 

This is a 18 month fixed term contract whilst you complete your apprenticeship.

 A great opportunity has arisen for an energetic apprentice to join the Strategic Delivery Team within Business Operations at Surrey County Council. The team are about to undertake a programme of work that will re-define Business Operations as we know it. We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help us, so we are keen to recruit someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!

The Strategic Delivery Team is part of the Orbis partnership, which encompasses Surrey County Council, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council. The purpose of this team is to support our front line operations in order to deliver greater value for our councils, residents and customers. The team is at the heart of Business Operations, delivering Project and Change initiatives that help drive our strategic objectives and transform our service.  

You get the opportunity to support and work alongside all of the colleagues within the Strategic Delivery Team. This will provide you with great insight into some of the different areas of the business and will provide you with broad experience in Project Management, Communications, Data and Analytics, Process Improvements and Change Management. Business Operations employ a network of apprentices and we will recruit x2 positions, so as well as receiving guidance and support from a fun and friendly team, you will have a buddy network of like-minded apprentices to lean on. This is a varied role and you will have the chance to make it your own, whilst we will provide you with all the knowledge and training you require to be successful. The work you do will reinforce your learning, providing evidence- based experiences to support your qualification. 

Whilst experience in Business Administration or Business Processes isn’t essential to the position, we are looking for our new apprentice to have a can- do attitude and desire for continuous learning.

* Having a creative eye

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to organise and prioritise your time and workload
