• To co-ordinate and effectively control the day to day administration & data support of all AA recognised establishments, in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
• To support the inspection team in the field.
• To provide effective support and administration for operations concerning the Hotel/Publishing database system and associate applications.What will I be doing?
Provide an efficient administrative and data support service for all potential and existing AA establishments both inspected and uninspected.
Receive and accurately process and despatch inspection visit reports, correspondence and associated documents in a timely fashion. As part of this process, ensure that all relevant instructions are actioned or passed to the relevant persons.
Provide general advice and support to inspectors on database and other queries arising out of inspections, liaising as appropriate with the Customer Support Manager on matters of policy relating to Quality Standards. A full knowledge of these Standards and office work practices is essential. Provide data and administrative support to the Inspectors and the Area Managers.
Provide general advice and support for internal and external customers arising out of data for which the business is responsible, liaising as appropriate with senior staff and management and external information sources.
Provide assistance and support to the Senior Key Accounts & Consultancy Support, Operations Manager, Merit Award Committees and Joint Technical Committee, by ensuring details of establishments needing the attention of these committees are made available when required.
Receive, investigate, resolve and respond to all complaints or commendations from customers ensuring the agreed business performance standard is met. Ensure that responses are accurate, clear, and concise and comply with the AA’s standard formats and response timeframes. Provide as necessary statistical information for the business management.
Maintain data for use to promote the AA recognition schemes, liaising with the Operations Manager and Marketing department on marketing initiatives. Participate in the running of direct mail and telesales recruitment programmes, administering special registration offers through Trade Associations and identifying new lead generations.
Assist in administration process of AA Consultancy. Provide assistance and support for the department by participating in special projects as required.
Carry out routine business requirements reports using the query tool on behalf of the users within the business and, when required, extract complex management data, reports and statistics by utilising system tools available to produce reports in a suitable format.
Support the ordering and acquisition process for new and replacement technological and communication equipment used within the business.
Ensure that database users, and when appropriate Hotel Inspection personnel, are kept informed of any development or problems which affect the system as and when they happen and facilitate communication as appropriate when problems occur. Ensure prompt resolution of any complaints and queries relating to the database.What do I need?
You don’t need any previous experience or knowledge of the Hotel sector. To be a success, you’ll need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to work hard to achieve your goals.
As a minimum requirement you’ll need:
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A passion for the tourism industry
- Enjoys working with data
The Qualification: Our Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration qualification is nationally recognised and a great first step in a career. What you learn will set you up perfectly to push forward in your career, whether you go on to further study or move into higher positions in work. Most of our previous apprentices have gone on to full time jobs, with some moving on to further study at The AA. You will spend 20% of your working time working towards your qualification. Our training provider will deliver the qualification through online and off site learning courses and you will have access to a personal coach that will support and guide you through the qualification. Here at The AA you will receive plenty of training and development to start your career on to the path of success.
As well as getting your qualification and work experience, you’ll get a salary of £9,000 p.a (approx. £4.77 per hour) as well as 23 days paid holiday + bank holidays.
