Business Account Manager (Sales)

A professional fundraising events management company specializing in raising funds for charities in the UK. We are seeking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support our Silent Auction events team in the UK.

Role: Seeking and developing new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with existing clients.

Experience/Abilities:

  • Proven track record in a sales environment

  • Proactive

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good English (spoken and written)

  • Ability to multi task

  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative

  • Experience of events/ knowledge of events/ charity industry

  • High level of computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and databases

  • Cold calling experience preferable

  • Well presented

The roles and responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Researching new business opportunities

  • Using creativity and initiative to source new opportunities

  • Cold calling potential new clients introducing and promoting silent auction services

  • Booking meetings with new clients for CEO/Global Operations Director to attend

  • Attending meetings with new clients with CEO/Global Operations Director

  • Preparing and providing necessary presentation material for meetings

  • Keeping an up to date and accurate record of client/event information

  • Calling existing/previous clients to develop business opportunities

  • Communicating and working effectively as part of a team

  • Taking ownership for and pursuit of own leads until assigned to an account manger

Other

  • Evening and occasional weekend work may be required (time taken back in lieu).
