Job Description

A leading independant primary school with a great reputation is on the hunt for a Bursar Assistant or HR/Payroll Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school has a very strong history in the local community and maintain a lively cultural programme.


  • Human Resourcing - managing procedures and governing the recruitment of staff
  • Monitor, review and update school's contrat forms
  • Manage and run payroll
  • Maintain Safeguarding, Health & Safety Records
  • Monitor/Communicate Changes
  • Support Bursar and Deputy Head
  • Review update staff handbook
  • Support maintenance and implementation of health and safety
  • Attend staff meetings


  • 2 years of HR experience
  • 1 Year of Payroll
  • 1 Year of Education experience (preferably in Primary School)
  • Law and recruitment knowledge
  • Strong planning, organisation skills
  • MS Office, email, online applications
  • Desirable - Health and Safety and Risk assessment
  • Desirable - Oasis Accounting for Schools Software
  • Desirable - Education experience
