Claims Handler required to join a well-respected independent building claims validation company due to further expansion. This firm, have an enviable reputation, both for the level of expertise they have in building surveying, as well as the quality of service they provide to their clients.
Working on behalf of leading household insurers you will provide an efficient end-to-end building claims handling service. You will pro-actively manage a case load of property claims in line with client requirements and service level agreements.
You will be responsible for settling or declining claims under delegated authority, as well as updating surveyor reports. Furthermore you will also be in regular telephone contact with customers and insurers, as well as updating any correspondence by email and in writing. You will also handle relations with third party companies, such as Building Networks, Drying/Restoration suppliers and flooring suppliers, driving claims to settlement, and updating and creating building repair schedules on the system.
Ideally you will have some previous experience of settling claims, which may be gained from either an insurer, broker, loss adjuster, legal firm or a claims management company. Any previous knowledge of property insurance claims or motor claims would also be an advantage. Good customer service and organisational skills are essential, providing the highest level of service and ensuring that clients are kept up to date with progress.
