This is a full time, temporary position for an ongoing contract. The successful candidate will have a full UK driving Licence and a professional qualification along with experience in a similar role.
The main purposes of the role is a) to undertake a full range of professional Building Surveying duties relating to the repair, maintenance, improvement and extension of the client's void properties or b) work within the Asset Management team on Health and Safety issues.
The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;
Undertake building surveys, quality control inspections, design and specification, project management, and cost management in relation to repairs, planned maintenance and improvement projects, liaising with council contractors, residents and other interested parties to ensure the smooth and effective completion of repair and maintenance work to client properties
To manage the complete voids process from start to completion of works working on your own initiative with minimal supervision
This will include carrying out inspection of all void properties, preparing specifications of work and liaising with the contractor to ensure voids are completed within set target times.
To be fully responsible for ensuring all necessary health and safety checks are carried out before properties are returned for re-letting.
To carry out post inspections, attend weekly operational meetings with the Contractor(s) and prepare monthly performance management information including void to letting time.
To keep all void procedures under review including the Lettable Standard and make recommendations in order to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
