My client is looking for a Building Surveyor for a new role in an established & developing business who work mainly (but not exclusively) in the private sector (property reinstatement) industry. My client specialises in carrying out repairs to private domestic properties (and some commercial) as well as refurbishments and large tendered works projects. The works can range from £300 up to about £300k and will include anything from small bathroom/sanitary ware damage to larger escape of water, flooding and fire damage repairs & full house refurbishments. The business is also expanding into other areas (social housing, larger developments etc.)

  • The role will involve the following;
  • Visiting properties and meeting with the homeowner to undertake an initial survey
  • Advise on repairs required and complete a full survey to produce a comprehensive scope of works
  • Visiting properties to survey/scope in order to tender for large works projects

You will also need excellent customer service & relationship management skills (internal & external clients), have good IT skills and have a full UK driving licence (car will be provided).

Knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM and asbestos legislation is required.

Ideally, you will have a recognised Building Surveying Qualification or membership to a professional body (i.e. MRICS, CIOB, ICE, RIBA etc.) but this is not essential.
