Job title: Chartered Building Surveyor
Hours: Full time
Salary: circa £45,000 plus bonus and other negotiable benefits (pension enhancement, income protection or life or health insurance)
A new and exciting opportunity exists for an enterprising and enthusiastic building surveyor to join our team. Applicants must have a minimum 2 years' experience in private practice.
Centrally located in the Thames Valley they offer building surveying, quantity surveying and architectural services to a wide range of public and private sector clients. They cover new build, alteration and conversion projects including Listed Buildings and other traditional structures.
They undertake structural surveys; investigate and diagnose building defects; prepare planned maintenance schedules, schedules of dilapidation, schedules of condition, specifications and schedules of work. They are Party Wall Surveyors. They act as Employers Agent. The successful applicant must be capable of acting independently whilst enjoying being part of a team when required.

The role includes:
Design, detailing and specification of building works (CAD skills an advantage)
Building surveys, defects investigations, dilapidation claims, schedules of condition and maintenance reports
Experience in some or all of the following sectors will be advantageous:
Commercial property - landlord and tenant facing
Rural Estates and buildings
Party Wall matters
Excellent communication and networking skills are required for this client facing role.
