Building Technologist - no experience required

Salary £24k plus overtime (including travel time)

Northampton (with travel)

Are you looking for an entry level role in the Construction sector at the forefront of the Environmental process? A career path that is exciting and pays well?

We are looking for a Building Technologist to support our clients growing team based in Northampton. This is a specialist team who investigate how buildings have been constructed to inform owners of their re-use potential.

You will receive full training in a variety of methods, tools and equipment to investigate the structure and strength of a building. Including Industrial Floor Slab Assessments, Materials Testing, Intrusive Surveys and Non-Intrusive Surveys.

Ideally suited to someone who is practical, has an eye for detail and accuracy, and does not want to sit behind a desk all day.

No experience needed!! All training will be provided.

You will be

  • Exposing building fabric using a variety of methods including diamond coring, breakers, and saw cutting
  • Measuring and drawing up the detail of exposed elements
  • Producing short reports of findings

What you need to possess:

  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Hands-on approach
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Full and clean driving licence
