Our client now requires an experienced Budget Accountant to deliver improved financial and operational management within the business.
As the Budget Accountant you will be be responsible for, but not limited to, developing the various IT systems linked with the Finance channels within the business, to achieve improved financial and operational performance.
You will also be required to review and manage project budgets on a timely basis, with the emphasis on ensuring that budgetary controls are in place and adhered to.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a range of financial and budgetary reporting at regular intervals, as well as monitoring to budget performance and variances in respect of contract works undertaken.
Ideally of graduate standard, from within a finance or business based discipline, candidates will also have completed a further finance qualification (i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
In addition, candidates should also be willing to demonstrate that they have:
- at least 5 years relevant work experience within the same or similar role
- previously worked within either the construction and/ or manufacturing sectors
- previous experience of developing IT systems linked to financial and operational improvement
- a high proficiency in MS Office applications particularly Excel
For this role, you should be an organised, confident and pro-active individual with a professional outlook and a positive, "can-do" attitude. Used to multi-tasking, you will require excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload so as to meet required deadlines.
Able to work as part of a team or under your own initiative, you should be an excellent communicator who can be flexible and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
