Job Title: Broker Development Manager - Commercial Lines
Location: London
Salary: £60,000+

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and successful Business Development Manager to join a leading Insurance company based in London.

Role:
Reporting to the Regional Development Manager the primary focus is to develop and implement the company strategy across the product portfolio within a defined regional territory.

Key Responsibilities:
·Proactive Broker/Client relationship management including action planning, monitoring and management of broker accounts and prospective clients
·Initiate, develop and maintain excellent relationship with brokers and clients in person, via telephone calls and in person.
·Prepare individual broker business plans and growth and profitability targets
·Achieve growth and profitability across the portfolio in line with Corporate Targets.
·Negotiation of key new business opportunities and renewal of existing key accounts.
·Review own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
·Maintain and develop broker profile and prospect database.
·Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Essential
·Strong trading capability - commercial awareness, negotiation skills, ability to build strong broker relationships
·Customer relationship management
·Understanding of UK Insurance market
·Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
·Excellent written and verbal communication
·Internal stakeholder management
·Business planning & prioritisation

Desirable
·Market underwriting presence
·Portfolio underwriting management
·Understanding of commercial insurance governance and controls
·Experience of Engineering Insurance & Inspection Services preferred
