The Role

I am working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of broadcasting & media equipment who are searching for a proven Broadcast Engineer to support their clients worldwide using the sQfamliy of recording servers, editors and LiveTouch replay systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide industry leading customer service with innovative solutions to overcome challenges faced by clients and customers
• Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions to the unique needs of customers
• Work directly with the Support Account Managers and Product SMEs to reproduce and resolve cleint issues
• Drive communication
• Push projects that improve support-related processes and the overall technical support experience
• Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles to aid future engineers
• Communicate with customers in order to provide prompt and accurate feedback
• Make sure that all issues are properly logged within SFDC, JIRA and support programs
• Prioritise and manage several open issues at one time
• Put together accurate and timely reports
• Write designs and documentation regarding proposed or actual deployments - includes traditional as well as solutions using in-house technology

Technical Skills Required

• A background in working with and supporting the sQ Server and editor product family
• A strong understanding of Video, Broadcast production techniques
• Commercial knowledge of digital and analogue electronics and digital and analogue video and audio systems
• Extensive knowledge of Compressed & Uncompressed Broadcast Standards (2110, 2022, NDI, SRT)
• Significant knowledge of Broadcast test equipment (Telestream PRISM, Phabrix, IP & SDI)
• Solid understanding of IP switch configuration and network architecture such as L2vsL3, PTP, Multicast
• Proven knowledge of server-based applications and computer networking
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu)
