Our client, a fire and rescue service, is currently looking for someone to fill this core role on a full time basis.

The purpose of the RPE Technician role is to service and maintain all self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) and associated equipment their service.

Kempston, Beds
Hours: 37 per week
Starting salary: £23,398 per annum

Our client provides an emergency lifesaving service to the community of Bedfordshire. A large part of their core function involves SCBA operations. Within this context the role of the RPE technician is vital. The function of the RPE technician is to ensure that all equipment required to deliver breathing air to SCBA user is well maintained and meets the requirements of the regulations for respiratory protective equipment.

Successful candidates must hold GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) demonstrating numeracy and English language along with a qualification of maintenance and testing of RPE or breathing apparatus equipment. Candidates must also hold a full current driving licence with no issues pending.
