KNOW THE ROLE
At Selfridges, we believe we can always do better. That’s an attitude that we apply to everything we do; sales, products, trends and, of course, service. Join us as a Brand Specialist and you'll help us succeed in all of these areas. Passionate about Toys you’ll always be up to date with the latest products and trends – while keeping a close eye on the competition, of course. Exciting and motivating your team will be your main focus, whether it’s through training workshops, group demonstrations or one-to-one mentoring. However you choose to do it, you’ll use your expert knowledge of trends, stock availability and computer reviews to enhance their product knowledge and service levels. Managing customer complaints with care and professionalism, you’ll make sure that every shopping experience with us is a positive one. Building strong relationships with other departments, like Visual Merchandising, will also be important, as will admin-based activities, such as organising deliveries and managing stock. Plus, your eagle eye for the hottest new kids trends will make sure that we continue to optimise and exceed our sales targets.
KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Alongside knowing all there is to know about the latest Toy collections, you’ll have proven your sales ability in a retail environment already. You’ll be an excellent communicator, so training up a team of Toy buffs won’t be a chore – it’ll be a pleasure. A strong degree of commercial awareness will be a bonus, as will the ability to demonstrate initiative and confidence in challenging situations, both customer-facing and behind the scenes. Personable and positive, you’ll be able to resolve customer complaints and motivate your team – all while keeping a smile on your face.
