Brand Activation Coordinator

I am delighted to be assisting my client, a global company with operations in 19 countries and a dedicated workforce conversant in 28 languages, with the recruitment of a Brand Activation Coordinator.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Brand Activation Manager, the primary focus of the role is to support the drive for continued consumer desire on PF brands on the journey to and at the point of purchase. Having an understanding of the consumer and product will be distinctly advantageous for the BAC to follow clear business objectives for brand communications. The BAC role will assist in the building and delivery of well-defined new product launch plans, the POP pricing strategy, product mix/portfolio management and external/internal events alongside colleagues as part of a dedicated team.

Specific Responsibilities:

1 Supporting the BAM through the annual brand planning process to set the fully integrated customer marketing plan using a full marketing mix of advertising and promotions.
2 Working by allocated project, directly with sales teams to support the recommend activation A&P investment levels for our customer portfolio and will aide in executing in store brand communications throughout the EMEA.
3 Contributing to and assisting in the development and application of the brand merchandising portfolio in accordance to the brand identity and guidelines process i.e. consumer promotion materials, POS, regional PR materials.
Insight
4 Using POS, shopper data and pricing research to help develop and optimize activation plans.
5 Supporting the partnership with the Brand Development and CMI teams to recommend tactical research needs to inform activation strategies such as shopper, pricing and mix analysis.
Product Portfolio Management
6 Supporting recommendations on local portfolio assortment needs, product adaptations, and pricing strategy for innovation launches.
7 Supporting the regional launch activation plans that align with agreed upon success metrics, and developing plans after contract gate approval.
New Product and Package Launch Support
8 Assisting in delivering regional language translations (maybe for a specific region) of innovation packaging and launch support materials.
9 Helping to provide overall guidance to local creative service team(s) and/or local approved agency partners.
10 Supporting and contributing to the development of regional advertising briefs and advertising.
11 Assisting in developing local media plan including media type, investment splits, and bookings. Tracking measurement and optimisation plans as needed.
Event and Asset Marketing
12 Providing localised support in partnering with any relevant agencies to ensure all brand spokespersons are media trained and briefed with key messaging to support brand objectives.
13 Co-leading with colleagues and the BAM on global marketing objectives, target consumers and measurements for consumer events.
14 Serving as the cross-functional contributor across digital marketing, Social Media for consumer promotions and events.
15 Supporting the management of Pro Team and Consultants with specific reporting into the BAM.
Promotions Planning
16 Working towards supporting the measuring and analysing ROI of consumer promotions and sampling programs.
17 Ensuring legal and social compliance in part to trade promotion budgets.
Project and Process Management
18 When working on any given project, the BAC would oversee project timelines, deliverables and approval process, after project contract approval.
19 Provide feedback for measuring and analysing ROI of marketing programs and recommends improvements.
20 Some agency/supplier management where required.
21 Working flexibly across the team where needed and taking on additional projects as needed to ensure the priorities and goals of the team are met.

Key Competencies:

1. Working product knowledge of fishing tackle and the industry would be advantageous.
2. Has some understanding of the relationships between the customer and consumer.
3. Working knowledge of events and event management is an advantage.
4. Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Can demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills.
6. Ability to adapt and willingness to learn quickly.
7. Uses own initiative within set Newell boundaries.
8. Good communicator with a sense of urgency around projects and key stakeholders.

Education and experience:

1 Ideally educated to degree or similar certificate, or equivalent qualification.
2 Can demonstrate a minimum of 2-4 years' working experience in a sales, marketing or event management/delivery role
3 Entry level proficiency with MS Office. MacOS and other relevant systems, eg SAP would be an advantage.
4 Product knowledge of fishing tackle and the industry would also be highly desirable.
5 Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
