The Business

They are a Hybrid business: offering all the benefits to the customer of an online service in terms of costing and marketing, with the added benefit of a valuers who can offer the customer-focused approach of a high-street agent.

They have invested heavily in marketing and have had great success so far. The valuers are making between £40,000-£100,000 per annum and the company is still expanding.

The Role

You will be responsible for explaining to vendors exactly how their unique service works, including showing them how to use their online services and track their progress on the systems, as well as outlining the advantages vs. high street agency (costs etc.) Once instructions are then on, the marketing and subsequent sale of the property is completely down to yourself and fees/commissions are paid on instruction! not exchange and completion.

You are allowed a great deal of flexibility in the role, but organisation and flexibility in terms of free time is key!

LPE's are expected to value between 12-30 properties per month, earning for each instruction, per Mortgage referral, and for purchase and legal. Leads are provided through the UK wide marketing but some self generation is expected.

The role is self-employed, however, for the first month, there is a retainer of £2000 to get you started. 1 week prior to starting, they will activate your local area on the website and they usually find that you will have at least 20 valuations booked in already by the time you have finished induction without lifting a finger!

The role

  • Own a territory of set postcodes, building business reputation through ad hoc marketing, social media, local events and networking
  • To provide an exceptional customer experience, without question the most important responsibility!
  • To bring houses to the market at the correct price and sell them quickly and efficiently, it’s as simple as that
  • Choose your own working day attending all appointments as arranged (e.g. valuations, viewings)
  • Gain instructions and when possible legal and mortgage referrals

What you will need

  • In depth knowledge of the local property market; everything that’s currently on the market; what’s coming new to the market each week; who the local market leaders are and why
  • Strong valuation experience with effective communication skills
  • Exceptional integrity, flawless etiquette and reliable punctuality
  • A strong desire to run your own successful business
  • Computer literate
  • Ideally 3 years + experience at Branch Manager or Senior Valuer level
  • Driving license and own car
  • Industry Qualifications ideally
