Price Bailey are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeping and Payroll Assistant in Norwich. This will see you sit as part of the Business team reporting into the manager from day to day. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate processing of our clients’ bookkeeping and payrolls - this will include processing of VAT returns and aspects of management accounts too.
Performing a range of basic Bookkeeping tasks/assignments where necessary
Performing computerised and manual bookkeeping including accounts file set up, reconciliations, purchase and sales ledger, VAT returns and general query handling
Learning how to use cloud accounting software - particularly Xero
Management of client payrolls from start to finish - both manually and automated
Processing payroll end of year returns
Handling payroll queries
Assisting with auto enrolment for clients
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of bookkeeping in general and will be able to manually perform payroll calculations. Candidates who can demonstrate prior experience within a client facing environment will be preferred due to the nature of the role.
