Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a progressive, independent firm in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of undertaking bookkeeping work, preparation of VAT returns and accounts to trial balance (ideally within a practice environment) and may be AAT qualified / part qualified or QBE. The ideal candidate will be technically strong with great client facing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation of accounts to trial balance
Undertaking day to day bookkeeping for clients
Preparing VAT returns
Maintaining up to date complete financial records
Liaising with multiple clients at any one time, maintaining and developing relationships
Attending clients’ premises as required to discuss / gather relevant information
AAT Part Qualified / Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Experience of Double Entry bookkeeping
2 years’ experience of working in practice is essential
