Watson Evans Associates are working on behalf of an accountancy practice based in St Austell who are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Bookkeeping & Payroll Administrator.

This is a new position within the firm, and has been created due to the practice winning new clients. It is expected to be accompanied by a starting salary between £18,000 and £22,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.

The purpose of the role is to offer support to the Payroll and Bookkeeping departments. You will be responsible for completing different sizes of payrolls to deadlines on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. Additionally, using a range of software you will be tasked with completing bookkeeping duties to include VAT returns for a number of clients.

It is essential that you have recent experience in payroll, ideally gained from a bureau setting. Experience of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients would be very advantageous, preferably in a practice setting.
