Our client is a well-established business who are growing and therefore now looking for an additional member of the team. They are a forward thinking, professional practice who provide quality advice in a non-jargon way. To some extent you will be your own boss and have a lot of freedom.
They are looking for a qualified and experienced Bookkeeper to work ideally on a part time basis (but will consider fulltime) with them and their clients. This is a long-term position and wouldn’t suit job hoppers so if you like moving jobs every 12-18 months then this isn’t the role for you!
The role would suit someone who can manage their own time and those of a couple of apprentices, who is flexible (as the nature of their work is very deadline driven) and who has the ability to look at the bigger picture with a strong technical accountancy/book keeping background. You will be a go getter who is able to evidence examples of this on your CV. Your experience will be from within practice and not industry.
It goes without saying that you will be IT literate (Excel, Word, Outlook as well as Xero, Sage 50 etc) who is presentable as they often have clients visiting and who is happy communicating with clients over the phone and face to face with confidence and in a professional manner.
You will want to be involved in helping to take their practice to the next level, be looking for a challenge and are ready to grow with them. If you are fulltime then you will be helping to really oversee the apprentices and manage their workload as well as dealing with your own.
You will be described as:
- A great communicator
- A great manager
- Someone who wants to make a difference to their clients’ lives
- Organized and efficient
- A make-it-happen person
You will be someone who can take charge of any situation and provide leadership to staff and clients as well as being someone who really gets a kick out of helping clients and bringing real value to their businesses and their lives.
The job is:
You will be supervising bookkeepers and have your own work load. You will also be dealing with clients on a day to day basis so strong communicator is an absolute must.
A broad background of experience is required including Xero, QB, Sage 50, dealing with HMRC, VAT, Payroll, MGD and general tax and a track record of supervising staff and dealing face to face with clients.
This is a challenging role and not for the faint hearted.
Immediate start available.
- Deadline Driven
