Booking Manager

Utilising the twenty-five booking agents and supervisors in our Head Office in Leicester, as well as the bespoke IT based booking management system, the Booking Manager is responsible for meeting the staffing demands of our operational projects. Working in the Product Resourcing Department alongside the Recruitment and Training Departments, you will be required to meet the ongoing challenges of forecasting, planning, and fulfilling the operational staffing needs of the business.

Our clients and operational project teams create over 250,000 operational positions each year which need filling. Although advanced planning can help fill most, some arise from short term demands or staff cancellations so the ability to adapt is necessary.

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate commitment and can evidence both a systematic and analytical approach to work whilst demonstrating innovation and implementing change to enhance our service provision, together with meeting the short-term needs of our clients. It is essential for the individual to be an outward-facing strong communicator with leadership, motivational skills, and a determination to succeed. As the Booking Manager, your main duties are:

  • To lead and encourage the current Booking team to deliver on the short, medium, and long-term operational demands set by clients

  • To provide the Head of Product Resourcing with detailed resource forecasting for the planning of events, setting of targets and measurement of outcomes

  • Being systematic, creative, and innovative in finding solutions to both the short and long-term challenges to ensure events are appropriately staffed

  • Working in conjunction with our team of UK Operational Managers to ensure client requirements are captured on the bespoke booking system

  • Direct line management of the booking supervisors providing guidance, motivation, development opportunities, while ensuring they are working in a structured and pro-active manner and leading their own teams of booking agents

  • Structuring the departments to deliver measured SLAs and KPIs, ensuring maximum success is achieved through our e-booking procedures and inbound and outgoing phone systems

  • Making decisions regarding transportation for events with the upmost attention to detail at all times

What we will be looking for in you as the Booking Manager:

  • Strong people management skills with proven experience of leading and motivating a team to achieve targets

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills to provide key reports and metrics on a regular basis

  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritise efficiently whilst working to strict deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, including the ability to present complex matters both verbally and in report form

  • A positive solution driven individual who values success and wants to play a significant role in a company of likeminded people

  • Budgetary management and resourcing experience

  • PC literate with a strong understanding of MS Office


  • Salary of £36,468 per annum

  • 37.5 hours per week with some demand led weekend and evening work on a rotational basis
