BOOK KEEPER - ACCOUNTANT - PART TIME

JOB ROLE: Book Keeper

JOB TYPE: Permanent - 1 DAY A WEEK

COMPANY: Corporate communications

HOURS: 9:00am to 17:30

SALARY: £27,000 - £35,000

LOCATION: West end

CULTURE: Processional, corporate and friendly

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. Purchase invoices.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting controls procedures.
  • Analyze and review project budgets and expenditures projections as required.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Address any issues regarding billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Resolve all financial and accounting discrepancies.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases and manual filing systems.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems in conjunction with the external accountants.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of Financial/Accounting and Payroll software applications.
  • Knowledge of UK financial regulations and other international financial areas.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, three to five years of accounting experience and successful completion of CPA exams
  • Mandarin Speaking a benefit
