Starting salary £9,245.60 per annum
Permanent | 20 hours per week | All-year round (52 weeks per year)
Our client has an opportunity for an organised individual with DIY and maintenance knowledge and experience (similar to that of a 'handymans' role) to work within their newest Boarding House Follyfield. The role will be responsible for the general maintenance of the Boarding House in conjunction with the day-to-day organisation of the Domestic Assistants and your own duties in conjunction with House Matron.
The maintenance aspect of the role will include cleaning and shampooing carpets, floor seal and polish, general cleaning duties (inside and outside of the Boarding House), general repairs, painting and decorating and helping boarders with their suitcases, trunks and boxes. The Team Leader responsibilities will include being their first point of contact for any work related query, sharing work between the Domestic Assistants and ensuring all matters regarding absence, leave, learning and development and performance appraisals are carried out in conjunction with Matron.
It is essential that the successful candidate has DIY and maintenance knowledge and experience, is organised and able to delegate work effectively, together with a calm and professional predisposition and able to be adaptable to situations as they arise. They particularly welcome applications from those who have experience in managing staff, including holding appropriate qualifications.
