Small hotel in the Lake District are looking to appoint a Bistro Chef to join their small team.

You will be joining a thriving local business which offers an excellent product and exceptional service.

The Role - Bistro Chef

  • Run a small kitchen which delivers exceptional food to the hotel’s on-site bistro
  • Managing orders
  • Stock control and rotation
  • Developing new menus and specials
  • Maintain exacting standards
  • Preparation and cooking
  • Be aware of margins
  • Supplier relationships

The Person - Bistro Chef

  • Previously worked as a Chef in a small kitchen (for at least one year)
  • Able to cook to an extremely high standard
  • Effective communication skills
  • Awareness of kitchen finance, wastage, costings (margins, selling price, etc)
  • Must currently live in the UK, for selection and interview purposes, and already have the legal right to work in the UK / EU

What’s on offer

  • Salary to £25,000pa
  • 8 hours per day (5 days per week)
  • Split shifts (7.30am - 11:00am and 5:00pm - 9:30pm Wednesday - Sunday)
