Job Title: Band 6 Biomedical Scientist

Location: Stoke Mandeville Hospital, HP21 8AL & Wycombe Hospital, HP11 2TT
Ward: Biochemistry/Immunology
Pay Rates: £21.80
Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30, 09:00-17:30 or 11:30-20:00

What you can add:
- Prepare, store and use reagents and consumables in a manner suitable for patient investigations.
- Perform manual laboratory procedures such as precision pipetting, reagent preparation and complex analytical procedures.
- Undertake technical validation of complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols.
- To be able to calibrate, maintain, operate and troubleshoot expensive and complex hardware and software.
What you’ll need:
- HCPC registered
- Practise as a Registered Biomedical Scientist
- Immunology & Biochemistry background - 50%/50% ideal or 60%/40%
- Aware of or experience using Helena SAS-3 and Abbott Architect
- A Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent.
