Committed to sustainability, our client is on a mission to reduce waste within the foodservice industry. They are now looking for a Biodiesel Process Operator to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified process professional with experience of working with hazardous chemicals looking to help an environmentally conscious company continue to make a huge difference.

As a Biodiesel Process Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of process activities to ensure the efficient operation of a biodiesel, fuel preparation and anaerobic digestion plant.

Preparing equipment for plant shutdowns and start-ups, you’ll conduct all plant activities in a timely and safe manner, including loading and unloading bulk tankers and deliveries. You’ll complete maintenance and re-commissioning activities and ensure a smooth and effective handover at the end of your shift. Our client’s Biofuel Operators work on an annualised shift scheme with additional hours.

Additionally, you’ll handle all associated documentation and administrative tasks, as well as liaising with the Production and Maintenance Managers regarding any mechanical and process issues.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Sound experience in a process industry environment, ideally petrochemical or pharmaceutical, with a track record of working with hazardous chemicals
- Knowledge and experience of working with process control systems
- Completed health and safety training, such as IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
- A process operations qualification, such as a C&G
- At a minimum, five GCSEs

Proactive and self-motivated, as a Biodiesel Process Operator, you must have good problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.

A Counterbalance fork lift truck licence would be beneficial to your application.
