£18,000 - £26,000 PLUS (Uncapped Commission OTE £50+) + Excellent Career Progression

Due to expansion our client, a well-established organization based in Basildon is offering a fantastic opportunity for a highly driven, sales orientated individual to join a thriving and friendly team. Working in brand new, state of the art offices you will be dealing with contracts globally and assisting and developing business in various regions. Languages are very useful in this role and fluent Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese would be welcome.

Business development

  • Monitor the marketplace for procurement notices and released tenders, then align suitable partner companies that offer either the product or the skills to enable us to take part in the bidding procedure.

Writing and submitting proposal to clients

  • Study, interpret and assess the conditions of tenders/enquiries and contracts, sourcing the right product at the best possible price and calculating costs of freight, insurance and profit potential.
  • Work with manufacturers to submit competitive bids. Often bringing together more than one company to deliver a complete solution.
  • Source suitable goods and services in country and qualify them as suitable for inclusion in our bid.
  • Prepare complex, administratively and technically compliant bid submissions for a wide range of products and services. Ensure that the bid will pass all stages of the evaluation process.
  • Maintain and manage the contract profitability throughout implementation.

Follow up sales and negotiation of contract through to final delivery

  • Negotiate and sign supply contracts with NGO’s and major aid agencies such as European Commission, the United Nations and the World Bank.
  • Negotiate and sign contracts with suppliers both in the United Kingdom and overseas.
  • Manage complex supply chain issues on a door to door basis ensuring deadlines and specifications are adhered to.
  • Manage the currency risks associated with foreign contracts, utilizing tools such as Forward Contract options.
  • Successfully negotiate inward final payments through the efficient implementation of the project.

Oversight for fulfillment of contract

  • Find and establish contacts in remote locations then cultivate and maintain these relationships to develop a local network of agents, to support our business interests in the target country.
  • Travel to the markets in which the company works, both to meet the project team and local representatives, and to discuss their requirements and expectations with a view to fulfilling these in a realistic manner.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • B2B sales or new business or account management
  • Export Sales / Shipping / Freight Sales
  • Languages - Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese
  • Candidates who have gained good commercial experience
  • Procurement or tendering experience
  • Willing to travel
  • Good opportunity for Graduates
