One of the largest professional services firms in the world is looking for a hungry, driven and engaging individual who is passionate about helping the firm's teams navigate the pursuit cycle. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who wants to be a part of a maturing proposals infrastructure in the London region to work alongside a range of stakeholders from all lines of service.
You will be the point of contact for London pursuits and will work alongside a team of Business Development managers and Office Senior Partners to build a proposal infrastructure that adapts to the changing nature of the region. You will be leaned on and turned to for support and advice for all stages of pursuit and will be trusted to run and operate the territory in your own way. Relationships are key and managing and building on them across such a complex territory will always be one of your biggest challenges. As a Bids, Pursuits & Proposals Manager your focus will be on ensuring that the right strategy is put in place for each opportunity, helping teams execute the pursuit in the most efficient and effective way and challenging and supporting teams in a constructive manner to improve the firm's chances of success. The role holder will enjoy a varied role as no two days and no two pursuits will be the same. There is lots of variety in the South East, you could be coaching a team through a FTSE 250 audit tender, introducing new technologies and ideas to the Private Equity team pursuits or working with global network firms on the region's large inbound clients. Regardless of the project you will be at the heart of some of the most important pursuits across the firm. You will provide end-to-end support throughout a proposal life cycle, including proposal management and advice, presentation coaching and obtaining client feedback and will responsible for aligning support to priority areas and driving proposal best practice, whether that's through training or reporting on key trends. Responsibilities will include helping draft, review and amend proposal documents and collateral, responding promptly to proposals content queries, building networks of SMEs across the region and the firm and conducting client feedback and post decision reviews. The role holder will also be tasked with the delivery of tailored training modules and working closely with Office Senior Partners to understand where training may be required.
The Bids, Pursuits & Proposals Manager will have excellent project management and coaching skills, coupled with an ability to think commercially and see the bigger picture. You will need to be able and confident to provide your views and challenge and support teams in a constructive manner and build on relationships across the region. You will also need patience and flexibility to understand that, with a broad geography and group of stakeholders, there is no one right way. The ideal candidate will also be a self-motivated individual of graduate calibre with a proven track record of delivering proposal management and bid advice for high value proposals and of proposal coaching and the provision of proposal support, with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives. Previous experience of working in professional services or a partnership environment would be highly advantageous.
