My client based around Birmingham, West Midlands is looking for a Technology focused experienced Bid and Sales / Presales. You will have experience of Bids / Technology experience / RFP's. You will be client facing and work proactively with bid teams across my client's organisation to help develop proposals for new and existing clients adding value / upselling new technology benefits my client can offer.
Paying attention to current and future technology offering such as IOT, Mobile applications and integration / Cloud tools for example) and help to describe the benefits and costs should a client choose to explore those areas. You will report directly into the solutions architecture function which will allow you to quickly tap into their expertise (software applications, Microsoft Cloud Azure, Data, reporting tools and IOT / ESB's). This will help you quickly identify potential technology benefits the technical team can help support future contract changes / renewals.
The client facing aspect will involve you engaging with the client end to end process, responding to technical questions from client and bid teams and then help to relay / promote these back to the client. It is important that you think about the risks / impact of the bids / presales element and ensure that client's requirements sit well with technology offering my client offers.
Furthermore the role involved;
- Bid documentation
- Support content and pricing of bid submissions
- Manage review and sign off process for bids
- Develop relationships with internal & external stakeholders
- Manage issues and escalating risks
- Report on identified technology gaps with Architecture teams to find solutions and build future road maps.
