Summary of Position

We are on the hunt for a Bid Manager who will be responsible for playing a leading role in helping us to achieve our growth plans. In this exciting role you will assemble ad-hoc bid teams and manage the bid process from the initial expression of interest through to the final pitch presentation.

You will be able to provide guidance on bid winning strategies, write and produce bid documents which differentiate ourselves from competitors as well as coaching and working alongside senior fee earners to secure opportunities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record in delivering large winning bids ideally within the professional services.

You will thrive in an ever-changing environment and be able to liaise with high profile clients across a diverse set of sectors. You will be adaptable enough to manage the bid resources in a way that both meets challenging requirements whilst ensuring that the team you have pulled together for the bid remains focussed and motivated in delivering a quality submission.

You will work effectively with people at all levels and be comfortable challenging convention to ensure that we move forward as a business and that we continue to best support existing and potential new clients through value driven solutions.

Planning and Organising

  • Talent for persuasive writing, proofreading and editing skills along with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and channels.
  • Pulling together bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders
  • Mange the bid preparation through our Phase Gate process
  • Balancing a demanding workload
  • Ensuring consistent and high quality look and feel in client deliverables
  • Acute attention to detail producing high quality deliverables
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

Decision Making

  • Support the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse poorly defined problems and anticipate and address critical situations

Financial Management

Own the process of draft preparation of the commercial aspects.Seeking final approval from the commercial director.
