My client is one of the UK`s leading providers of legal and handling services to the general insurance sector and they are looking for an highly organised and friendly Bid Manager.
The firm currently provides legal services to 12 of the UK`s 20 largest motor insurers in specialist areas such as counter fraud, large & complex injury, motor and casualty services, recoveries, costs and credit hire. As a result of continued organic growth, the firm is recognised as one of the UK`s fastest growing law firms with six offices, 34 partners and 720 employees, receiving in excess of 65,000 instructions per annum.
Managing our response to formal client panel reviews, ITTs, RFIs and RFPs:
Working with the Business Development Director and Business Development Partner to develop bid strategy.
Drafting and maintaining the response plan to ensure that all deadlines are met.
Managing the implementation of the bid strategy across HF, liaising with partners, COO and heads of department as appropriate
Procuring relevant information and data, then writing/editing response documentation in line with strategy, firms brand guidelines and client requirements.
Preparing presentation and support material for post-response meetings with clients.
Creating and maintaining a bid support library:
Creating a searchable reference source that can be used to support future new business bids and panel reviews.
Adding and maintaining content as necessary.
Supporting client account managers and partners with ad hoc new business proposals and business development initiatives.
Building and maintaining a suite of new business support collateral:
Company overviews and profiles.
Departmental and product specific e-brochures / factsheets, etc.
Working with the Marketing Communications Manager to:
Enhance and maintain the company`s external website to ensure it effectively promotes the firm and that key facts and information are kept up to date.
Ensure our social media presence reflects the business development objectives for the firm.
Assisting the BDD and COO in implementing and coordinating a formal account management process/programme within the firm.
Building and developing a business development support function/team
`Marketing` qualifications (marketing, sales or bid management)
5+ years` experience in the service sector
Excellent copywriting skills
Significant experience of working on high value tenders (not necessarily as a bid manager)
Demonstrable project management skills
Legal sector experience
Account management programme support experience
