BI Systems / Manager / SQL / Business Intelligence / CRM / Permanent / Birmingham City Centre

The BI Systems and CRM Manager works closely with the IT Manager providing cross business IT solutions. In this exciting and varied role you will undertake projects to push the business forward and administer the existing IT platforms to an excellent standard. You will be responsible for the technical development and administrative support along with training users on the CRM and other business systems.

Your role is to drive the Business Systems strategy by providing business solutions and improvements to teams across the business. Reporting to the Director of Operations you will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Development.

Key responsibilities:
*Manage the Business Systems Change Control procedures.
*Plan and implement effective testing processes and release upgrades for required Business Systems software.
*Implement software upgrades and test all Business Systems as new releases become available.
*Work with IT Manager to plan and implement hardware upgrades relating to Business Systems in line with the hardware life-cycle.
*Develop and maintain the Business Systems strategy, ensuring projects are prioritised and delivered on time within budget.
*Coordinate a regular systems user group meeting, enabling the Business Systems to be developed throughout the business.
*Work with the IT Team to administrate, monitor and regularly test back-ups and security features.
*Produce and update full technical documentation on all Business System platforms.
*Develop and support an on-going programme of data management for patron records, ensuring compliance with data protection, GDPR, PCI-DSS and similar compliance legislation and industry standards.
*Scope, build and maintain reporting solutions to enable a self-service approach to business intelligence.
*Organise IT projects in the business and support and implement when required.
*Work with all departments in the development of current and future communications technology and other marketing/CRM solutions, including testing and implementation.

Key skills and experience required:
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to train in non IT language.
*Excellent IT skills with an excellent working knowledge in the administration of SQL databases.
*Excellent understanding of standard administration programs.
*Experience of Agile working practices.
*Have an understanding and good knowledge of existing data protection, GDPR, PCI-DSS and similar compliance legislation and standards.
*Experience in SQL Server administration.
*Experience with SQL report-writing tools e.g. SSRS.
*Experience of administrating CRM, sales or marketing databases.
*Excellent understanding of standard CRM administration programs (Account and User Group management, permissions and security).
