Due to continued expansion, and new Greenfield projects my client based in Birmingham who are a Market Leading Financial Services Giant, are Seeking a motivated, BI Developer to join their fantastic Data team.

My client prides themselves as being recognised as an organisation that puts Innovation first, when working with technology, as they have plans to work with Azure, AWS or other Cloud platform in the near future as progression is right at the top of the organisations priority list. This also includes allowing their staff to work with the latest technologies within Data and reporting like Power BI, as they have set out plans to re-design and Develop their Data Warehouse system, so this role will give you lots of opportunity for creative input, and be a real key figure in this department as well as shaping the future of this organisations Data.

Purpose of this role and Experience required:

  • To maintain and develop the SQL code which provides the daily Data Warehouse facility to enable delivery of all the Group's reporting and analysis
  • Maintenance & testing global credit risk management systems
  • Implementation and adherence to quality assurance principles and processes
  • Producing technical specifications & user documentation
  • Integration of multiple credit risk systems to a single solution
  • Global rollout of the current local Credit Risk System
  • Integration of new business streams
  • Development of existing credit risk web-based & desktop systems in a customer focused environment
  • Develop a good understanding of Group's core IT servicing platforms and loan portfolios with the longer-term aim of rebuilding the Data Warehouse incorporating techniques such as dimensional modelling, layers, staging, Kimball and cubes to streamline the current process and make it more efficient
  • Document the entire Data Warehouse process, including the ETL processes, SQL procedures and database tables utilised
  • SSIS
  • Data Warehouse Experience
  • Good SQL Development - from versions 2012 upwards
