Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with Winston's Wish, the UK's first childhood bereavement charity who have been supporting bereaved children and young people since 1992 and continue to lead the way in providing specialist child bereavement support services across the UK. They are looking to recruit a Clinical Service Manager to manage the delivery of their On Demand Bereavement Support Service.
As Bereavement Services Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of their On Demand Bereavement Support Service which includes the optimal running of the Helpline, Live Chat, ASK email, psychoeducational groups, and parent peer support groups. Responsible for managing and coordinating a team of staff and volunteers, you will ensure the service is adequately staffed to provide on demand support services when required by children, young people and their families. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, you will ensure the model of support for those receiving digital services are robust, equitable, inclusive, and fit for personal whilst ensuring bereaved children, young people, and families receive safe, timely and appropriate bereavement support of the highest quality.
To be considered, you have extensive experience of working with children, young people, and families as a practitioner in either a bereavement or similar field at management level. You will have an awareness and knowledge of the emotional and psychology impact of bereavement and understand the need of those experiencing it. As a clinical professional, you will possess a MA/MSC or Postgraduate degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy or relevant Psychology specialism as well as a valid registration with a professional body (eg. HCPC, BACP, UKCP, ACP). Finally, previous experience of work on and/or managing a helpline is essential, as is sound knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with the ability to support staff with safeguarding concerns.
