We are currently looking for Behavioural Support Assistant to cover the Sunderland, Ferry Hill and Newcastle area.
Strong behaviour management
Excellent communication skills
A positive approach to learning
Ability to de-escalate children in crisis
Candidates will have experience of working with children in a challenging environment with a proven track record in this field demonstrating confidence and resilience in a behavioural unit.
Role includes, but is not limited to:
Support pupils in and out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development
Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class
Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason
Helping students to engage with the set curriculum, both Educational and Vocational
Encouraging students to achieve their full potential
Providing stability to comfort vulnerable students
Experience of working in this role or similar role
A commitment to engaging challenging students, helping them to achieve their full potential
A patient and caring nature
