We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for graduates to begin work straight away within Pupil Referral Units around Manchester.
The ideal learning support assistant will have sound knowledge of challenging behaviour as well as emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, obtained through studying a degree in either Psychology or a similar course. It is preferable that you have experience working with children with these difficulties, yet it is not essential.
The pupils you will be working with will display extremely challenging behaviour. They can become physically aggressive and so Team Teach training is advantageous. The role will involve supporting these pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as within small groups.
You must be:
*Willing to get stuck in and learn on the job
*An enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude
*Able to form new relationships with individuals who display challenging behaviour
*Experienced and/or confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Flexible in your work
*Willing to get a DBS straight away
