I am currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Behavioural Specialist to work in a variety of fantastic primary schools in the Plymouth area. You will be working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to ensure that the students have access to an interactive and practical curriculum and aim to improve learning and social development. This is a great opportunity to build strong relationships with brilliant young people and work with a supportive and approachable team.

Requirements

  • Holds at least one years' experience of working within a school
  • Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management will be key
  • Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff
  • Must be willing to work hard, and go above and beyond
  • Is available to work from September 2021
  • Has a valid and up to date DBS

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Working 1-2-1 or with small groups for inventions
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management will be key
  • Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
  • Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress
  • Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons
  • Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
