Our client have numerous services across the North and Yorkshire and are well known for their person centred, high quality services for adults with a range of specialist needs including autism and learning disabilities. This role will lead on the behaviour front, applying and evaluating psychological interventions, using positive behavioural support and low arousal to manage people’s behaviour and delivering training to staff/team members.
o Undertaking person led assessments for current or incoming service users with complex needs
o Create behavioural support plans including known triggers and Positive Behaviour support strategies to ensure they are effective and safe
o Assessment of service users to identify any clinical/complex behaviour needs
o Review of all clinical interventions, ensuring safeness and effectiveness
o Assemble a behavioural and intensive support team
o Clincial qualification - MA Psychology, RNMH, RNLD, RMN
o Considerable experience in a similar role in a specialist setting -learning disabilities, complex needs, challenging behaviour etc
o Minimum of 3 years experience in a behaviour specialist or psychologist role
o Experience of applying and evaluating psychological interventions, using positive behavioural support to good effect
