I am currently working in close partnership with a "Good" Primary School in in Bolton. With inclusion and support at the centre of what the school pride themselves on, they are actively looking to recruit a teaching assistants that can support with behaviour and inclusion within their Key Stage 1 department. As a behaviour support assistant, you would be expected to support, engage and inspire learning on a 1:1 and small group basis. In addition, there would be freedom within the curriculum for creativity so sports coaches looking to transition into primary school support roles would be encouraged to apply.

- Working with Autism and challenging behaviours

This two form entry primary school in the BL1 area of Bolton provide a creative and independent environment for learning and are considered "Good" and their children make good progress. They proudly show core values of inclusion, friendship, responsibility and making good choices to name a few and as a result of this, any future behaviour support assistants would be welcomed in with open arms. With great facilities in the nurture areas of school, you would have access to great spaces to aid learning and inclusion.
You would be working very closely with the SENCO and inclusion team to help support behaviour in Key Stage 1 in particular, however there is scope to support behaviour and autism in other areas of school too.
Community and Youth Workers along with sports coaches looking to transition into primary schools would be welcomed to apply as their transferable skill sets have worked in the Bolton school previously.
