Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting Behaviour Specialist / Mentors for a large specialist provision in Bournemouth.

About the Behaviour Specialist Position:

**The School caters for pupils aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
**Full-time, long-term position due to start immediately.
**Rewarding position supporting young adults in challenging situations over come their behavioural issues.
**Be the class support while acting as a role model by encouraging social and emotional development.
**Some 1:1 work with more challenging individuals.

The Successful Behaviour Specialist will have/be:

**Organised and practical when supporting the class teacher.
**Sympathetic and calming nature while dealing with challenging behaviour.
**Strong behaviour management skills while also creating a fun learning environment.
**Knowledge and understanding of child Mental health or personal experiences.
**Drive and determination to see individual development for each pupil.
**Show high expectations of pupil participation and achievement.

To be Eligible the Behaviour Specialist must have/be:

**Strong experience in a disciplined background, i.e. - Military, Police, Sports or Education.
**The ability to provide two professional references that cover the last 5 years of employment.
**An up to date CV with a complete career history included.
**An enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service, or be willing to complete one.
**Proof of eligibility to live and work in the UK.
