A supportive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a resilient and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This long-term role starts immediately and offers the chance to work with students who need extra guidance in order to thrive.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students with behavioural needs both inside and outside the classroom
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a role model for young people
  • Helping teachers implement strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Running small intervention groups and 1:1 mentoring sessions

This role would suit candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, or mentoring capacity
  • Are confident, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Want to gain experience in pastoral care or progress towards a career in teaching or counselling
