Prospero Teaching are working with a Secondary School in Southampton who are looking to appoint a Behavior Mentor immediately. This position would be ideal for someone from a military, judicial or sports coaching background.
About the Behaviour Mentor Position:
The role starts immediately for the ideal Behaviour Mentor, the school will wait for a notice period to be completed if necessary.
Full-Time position until the Summer holidays, however it is likely to go permanent in September 2018.
The school is a successful and well-established 11-16 co-educational secondary school.
Mentors will be supported and encouraged to help students achieve individual success while realise their potential.
Mentoring across Key Stage 3 and 4.
The Successful Behaviour Mentor will have/be:
Be required and confident to work across Key Stages 3 & 4.
Show strong organisational skills while holding high expectations of achievement.
Have strong interpersonal skill to effectively communicate with staff and students.
Hold excellent behaviour management skills.
Be adaptable while catering for each individual needs.
To be Eligible the Behaviour Mentor must have/be:
Able to provide at a minimum of two professional references that cover the last two years of employment.
Experience working with students or vulnerable adults who have challenging behavior.
Proof of eligibility to live and work in the UK.
An enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service, or be willing to complete one.
