Business Development Manager role overview

The main objectives are to win new business, deliver against set targets, look for new revenue opportunities, secure the client and develop the relationship at a senior management level. This involves using new and existing relationships to create customer propositions based on the clients’ specific needs and objectives.

They will be responsible for the developing new business opportunities across Europe focusing on our facility in the UK and NL.

The Business Development Manager - Fulfilment & Supply Chain will be responsible for generating new business and driving growth. They will be working with management to identify new markets to explore and maintain the relationships of strategic accounts. The drive of year on year growth is vital. Identifying new opportunities to new customers and increasing profitable revenue from the existing accounts by presenting new products and services that meet the needs of the client.

The role is UK based with some travel within Europe required.

Business Development Manager’s responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

? Ability to self-generate leads and opportunities

? Prospect for new customers and revenue opportunities, secure the client and develop the relationship

? Forecast Client Business according to Company guidelines. Deliver all targets and objectives in relation to Business Objectives.

? Respond to tenders and drive and own the tender process leveraging broader organisation where appropriate

? Complete sales reports, manage own pipeline reports in accordance with the company procedures and CRM system

? Work in partnership with fulfilment and supply chain management teams to on-board new wins

? Manage all Customer Proposals and keep a detailed understanding/visibility with the Project Manager on the status of in-flight Projects, work closely with all relevant teams to deliver a seamless and successful customer experience

? Co-ordinate the involvement of Company personnel, including support, service and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and client expectations

? Implement and maintain a QBR strategy alongside the Account Manager, ensure the relevant departments keep to the committed timetable, contents and action follow-ups, monitors successes and failures, learns from these

? Track revenue and GP performance of all new accounts, reporting as required

? Ensure customer SLA’s are set, monitored, achieved and reported as agreed

? Create proposals and sales documentation with marketing teams for new opportunities and define best practice for these moving forward

? Provide mentoring and feedback to team to ensure the support of a continuous learning environment

? Amend /update Legal contracts as appropriate

? The role is measured on the delivery of proactive sales key performance indicators and adherence to the operational budget.

? Client satisfaction - measured through Manager via Client Feedback

? % of achievement against the budget

? Quality of communication with all internal teams
