Our client is a specialist to the Freight Forwarding, Transport and Shipping industries. Their current staff has a combined total of more than 75 years' experience in the industry and they are now looking to strengthen the team and bring in a Business Development Manager to expand the business.
They are looking to expand more into the food export / reefer business as this builds on an existing line of business they are already handling as a company and where they are having good success.
My client would be looking for someone to build and expand this from the ground up, so quite a challenge but also a great opportunity for the right person.
Based in the North West with an open sales territory you can sell anywhere in the UK
Selling a containerised freight forwarding service nationwide you will have a solid background in freight/international logistics and have sold both containers and trucks refrigerated freight services
Through a structured, professional sales process, you will identify and manage both your new business pipeline and existing customers which will generate profitable opportunities ensuring growth and targets are met.
You will have a solid standing in the reefer market with long term relationships with customers with Reefer traffic and will now be looking to develop and grow a business in its infancy, where you can make a real difference to the company and grow your own career.
In order to apply for this role you will be selling a freight containerised service. You will be self-motivated and sales driven. You will possess excellent market knowledge in food export /Reefer business with good negotiation and closing skills
You will also have excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills with a solid understanding and empathy of customer needs.
You will be keen, committed, and able to work on your own initiative with the ability to source your own leads, new business orientated with a flair for growing and developing your own accounts with focus on food export / Reefer business.
