Hays work with several charities and housing associations that deal with young carers aged 16-25, adults and young people who have multiple complex needs and those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide an independent service and move on advice and projects. They provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can make life changes, develop responsibilities and move towards independent living.
Your new role
We are looking for a bank of support workers to work within these hostels and supported housing schemes. As a Support Worker you will be helping clients move on to independent living. You will be dealing with clients from a variety of background dealing with sensitive issues such as mental health issues, self harm and drugs and alcohol. This role is challenging yet rewarding, welcoming people who want to make a difference.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Support Worker this job role is dealing with vulnerable people, therefore you will need experience in working with vulnerable clients, particularly those suffering from mental health. This really is an ideal opportunity for people who may be willing to pick up some extra work alongside another employment or are currently out of work and are looking for a new opportunity. You will need a strong passion for supported housing and a mindset of really wanting to make a difference in people's lives is essential.
